This friendly, lively girl would be suited to an active household.
Frankie greets you with a gentle nuzzle or kiss when you go into the kennel to get her ready for her walk, which she loves. She is a bit excited about the wider world at the moment but on a recent home/foster stay with one of our volunteers, Frankie showed her sweet nature and was happy to approach any humans for fuss or cuddles. She quickly relaxed in the home environment investigating the downstairs rooms and sleeping on any available dog bed. During her 3-night stay, despite never being in a home before, she settled well overnight and cried when she needed to go out. A high energy dog Frankie shows her competitive nature when she's walked with the other greyhounds at the kennels always wanting to be first, however she was much more relaxed and easier to walk away from the others. Although a very alert dog she showed no reaction to dogs at a distance whether on or off lead, she was less confident when if they came to close. Frankie is still learning about life outside of kennels but even on this short stay she showed some of her personality playing with toys and 'helping' to get her food ready by putting her nose in the food bag and quickly settling into a routine. An energetic dog Frankie would thrive in a home (without small children), where she can get lots of nice walks and plenty of cuddles.
