MORE ABOUT Velvet

Velvet is a handsome little chap, with his brownish blue coat and stunning light eyes. Still just a baby, at not yet 2 years old, Velvet is on the smaller side for a male hound. He is incredibly friendly and affectionate with everyone he meets, loves his food and really enjoys his walks. Velvet prefers to have a kennel to himself, so we are ideally looking to home him as an only dog. He is sociable with the other greyhounds and has not shown any reactivity to other breeds that he has encountered on his walks out from the kennels. He generally walks really well on his lead. He is, understandably, excited at the beginning of his walks but settles quickly. Little Velvet is desperate for more attention than we are able to give him in a busy kennel environment, and we would love to place him in a home with owners who have time to spend with him. He is easily motivated by treats, and as a young dog we feel that he would really enjoy learning new skills so a home with an interest or experience in reward based training would be ideal.
