Hughie can build special bonds with a special person who’s willing to give him that chance and the time to build trust. If you think that person could be you, you’ll be rewarded with a truly unique character, an amazing soul and fully house-trained.
Hughie has been struggling to find a home for a while but has made amazing progress in his foster home. Hughie has been overlooked in the past because he doesn’t push himself forward. He’s quite shy to start with, which can come across as indifference and he could be nervous out on walks. We always knew there was much more to him and so it’s proved with him having time to build bonds with his foster parents. Hughie has so much character, brings so much love and laughter and is very intelligent. He knows (and actually follows!) lots of commands and likes to help out by reminding everyone when it’s dinner time with a nudge, and even knows where his food is kept – he’s close to helping himself! Hughie is equally enthusiastic about his toys, loves to play catch and to be out in the garden. His confidence on walks has greatly improved and he’ll be ready and raring to go as soon as he hears the jingle of his lead. He walks very happily by your side without pulling and he’s always been very easy to handle and travels very well, hopping in and out of the car without a fuss. Hughie also sleeps well overnight and loves to snooze around the house, relaxing in full ‘legs in the air’ mode. He also enjoys fuss and cuddles, and being a discerning chap, will keep these mainly for whoever he builds bonds with, so while he is well mannered out and about, will not be over-excitable – a perfect combination! It all sounds like a dream, but while his foster parents would love to adopt him fully, they unfortunately can’t due to personal circumstances. So, Hughie still really needs to find his furever home. His lovely foster home has proved that
