Home Run Hounds Greyhound Charity is dedicated to finding loving forever homes for retired racing greyhounds. Based in the UK, the charity operates across multiple sites, including Wombourne, Stourbridge, Shenstone near Lichfield, Lakenheath in Suffolk, and Romford in Essex, working tirelessly to ensure these gentle dogs transition smoothly into family life after their racing careers end. Home Run Hounds carefully assesses potential adopters to ensure a good match for both the hound and the new family, considering various living situations, including homes with children, the elderly, and even flats and boats. Home Run Hounds is actively involved in raising awareness about the breed and the joys of adopting a retired racer. We participate in community events and even organize visits to care homes, providing companionship and comfort through their hounds. Entirely run by a team of dedicated volunteers, the charity relies on donations and fundraising efforts to continue its vital work in supporting the health, wellbeing, and homing of greyhounds. We are a registered charity (number 1209071) and are committed to good fundraising practices.
