Neville waited patiently for his forever family; he was in the Home Run Hounds Lichfield centre for 3 months seeing some other greyhounds get their happy ending while he wasn’t chosen. But the waiting was soon over and in Jan 2024 he was adopted by the Brookhouse family. A lovely family who had recently lost their male greyhound, they joined volunteers from HRH on their Boxing Day Walk in Sutton Park with their sweet greyhound girl, Rosie and fell for Neville.

After talking to volunteers, they arranged a viewing the same day and reserved Neville. He went on a foster-to-adopt on New Year’s Day and settled in well.

He was affectionately called Needy Neville in kennels as he was such a love sponge and demanded lots and lots of attention but now, they call him Neville the Devil at home as he is always collecting things. He enjoys his squeaky toys and collecting work boots to keep on his bed. Rosie has started joining in the fun and has completely accepted her new brother.

Claire from Home Run Hounds said “It’s so lovely and rewarding to see a homed hound’s character really coming out. Thank you to the Brookhouse family for opening their hearts and their home to Neville.”
